- days at the Livadia Palace
On 4–11 February 1945 the Big Three met at the Livadia Palace in Yalta. The Allies agreed how to end the war and what the post-war world would look like, and decided to create the United Nations.
The Allies agreed to divide defeated Germany into zones and decided the fate of Poland, and the USSR promised to join the war against Japan two or three months after victory in Europe.
It was the last meeting of the “Big Three” in this form: two months later, on 12 April, Roosevelt died without living to see the Victory.
